Here we have compiled a directory of contemporary videos intended to help you start the conversation in your community about food and agriculture issues. Consider hosting a one day film festival or a monthly food film club to learn about the pressing issues challenging our sustainable food futures.

There is no better way to increase your understanding of these critical issues than to explore them through video with other concerned citizens. Imagine hosting a monthly video club where you screen one or more of these timely documentaries and engage in a discussion afterwards to learn from the reactions of others. In addition to providing you with a short review of the film, we have also developed short discussion questions to help you lead such an event with your organization or community. Happy viewing!

We are not condoning or critiquing any of the videos we have showcased in this directory. Our goal is to give you the tools to start a conversation in your community with the use of videos. They are alphabetized to show no preference for one over others. The reviews are meant to be helpful guides not analytical assessments of the content, we simply want to provide you with necessary information to help you make informed choices about which videos would work best for your group. In order to access the video, you can contact the distributor. The Food Democracy Project is not a lending library. When screening videos in public settings please adhere to all public viewing requirements stipulated by the filmmaker and/or distributor.
